understanding of the grassroots and the knowledge of the game will play a
significant role in successful implementation of the league and meet its

grassroots level, especially for the coaches , referees and other sports-related ancillary

SSFL, which is the world’s largest talent scouting
and training programme, had launched in Gujarat (Ahmadabad and Gandhi Nagar)
last year and had engaged about 1 ,200 footballers from 64 schools. The league witnessed
nearly 100 matches being played under the FIFA format. This season will see
participation from almost all districts of Guajart and the size of the programme
in the state is expected to grow by ten times.

Wasteful Germans gave away a one-goal lead as Mikkel Diskerud cancelled out Mario Goetze' s early opener before Bobby Wood' s hammer wrapped up a late 2-1 victory for the USA on the road.
Germany caught a bright start on home soil after dictating the pace. Debutant Patrick Herrmann danced through USA' s defence to set up for Mario Goetze, who slotted home from eleven meters into the bottom right at the 12th minute.
The host controlled the proceedings on the pitch but the Germans failed to make use of their promising chances. Mario Goetze had the two-goal lead on his foot but he was unable to overcome USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan following a one-on-one at the 31st minute. Andre Schuerrle squandered another opportunity for the World champions as he headed into the arms of keeper Guzan from very close range moments later.
US Men' s national team punished Germany' s wastefulness just before the break when Mikkel Diskerud tapped home Michael Bradley' s long diagonal-pass into the box.
After the restart, Germany' s offensive actions eased off whereas the USA piled on the pressure. Michael Bradley' s effort from eleven meters forced Germany goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler to make a diving save at the 83rd minute.
However , Bradley' s shot on target was just a foretaste of what was to come as Bobby Wood unleashed a left footed hammer from 18 meters to beat Zieler into the bottom right with just three minutes remaining in the game.
